Job Application Season

With less than one year to go with my postdoctoral fellowship at the Université de Montréal, I am in the midst of doing what hundreds of other recently minted Ph.D.s are doing: I’m applying for university teaching position. I’ll admit that I get a little freaked out at doing them simply because I know that no matter what I do I have no control over the decision making process. All I can do is submit the most spectacular CV, cover letter, teaching dossier, writing sample, and any other required documents and simple hope that they catch the eyes of the search committee.

My fingers are crossed.
