Yesterday was not a day for a lot of original writing. I spent most of the day reformatting the two chapters I am going to include in my book proposal from MLA to Chicago. As I did the reformatting I also made some minor changes to both of these chapters, taking out many unnecessary words and phrases. I also did some work writing chapter summaries.
Today I want to finish my chapter summaries and my manuscript logistics page (i.e. book length, time line, number of illustrations, etc.). I will have two, maybe three, blog posts today. I also want to thank PhD2Published for promoting my posts on their Facebook page. This might be why I am receiving a record number of views on this blog. I hope people are enjoying them.
Here is how I did on my daily AcWriMo goals yesterday:
504 words written (goal met, barely)
3 blog posts written (goal met)
3 x 2 hour blocks of writing time (goal met)
Remember you can find all the information for AcWriMo you need here on PhD2Published’s site. They also have a lot of other good posts on writing geared towards PhD students and newly-minted academics.
